RF Basics: Monopolar vs. Bipolar

• Monopolar: energy travels from one electrode to a return pad → deeper heating, stronger subdermal effect; may feel more intense.

• Bipolar: energy circulates between two electrodes → focused on epidermis/dermis; typically more comfortable/safe, but less reach to deep fat.

Why can INMODE FX (bipolar) still affect fat?

Vacuum suction gently lifts the skin so the skin + subcutaneous fat sit between the two electrodes. RF is then delivered across that tissue, allowing bipolar energy to reach deeper layers.
Maintaining ~42–45°C damages adipocyte membranes; contents are cleared via the lymphatic system. Meanwhile, dermal heating stimulates collagen, combining fat reduction with tightening.

INMODE FX — What It Does
