Laser hair removal works by heating melanin in the hair shaft, but fluence, pulse duration, wavelength, and cooling must be tailored to each patient and body area.

We assess hair amount, thickness and color, density, and skin tone for each area, then apply custom energy settings that suit your skin and hair.

• Pulse duration
  Thicker hairs usually require a longer pulse. Because they contain more melanin, an overly short pulse can dump energy too fast and stress the epidermis. A longer pulse delivers heat more gradually, helping protect the surface.

• Energy density (J/cm²)
  Thicker, darker hairs often need higher fluence so heat adequately reaches the follicle.

Examples

1. Thick, dark hair → absorbs laser energy efficiently.

2. Fine, light hair → lower melanin; may need slightly higher fluence or more sessions to heat the root effectively.

3. High-density areas → we disperse shots to prevent over-heating.

4. Darker skin tones → because skin also contains melanin, we adjust output and cooling to reduce risk.

We Remember

Across sessions we track area-by-area hair status, skin response, and residual hair density, then fine-tune fluence, wavelength, cooling time, and pass count.
For example: stronger at session #1, residual-hair focus by #3, or wavelength changes when helpful. There is no “same session every time.” Skin changes—so should the settings.

Before Your Appointment

• Shaving is essential for the treatment area.

• Shorter stubble = better energy delivery and better results.

• Women: shave the day before or the day of your appointment.

• Wear clothing that exposes the area for smoother treatment flow.

  • Examples: Sleeveless tops for arms/underarms; shorts/skirt for calves/thighs.

After Your Appointment

• Redness, warmth, or tenderness may last 2–3 days; cooling packs the day of treatment are helpful.

• To prevent folliculitis/itching, apply a gentle moisturizer generously to treated areas.

• Avoid rubbing the area; apply sunscreen diligently when outdoors.

• During your treatment course, avoid tweezing, waxing, and tanning.

• If hair is long at treatment time, burn risk increases—please shave carefully the day before your visit.

• Keep intervals: for best efficacy, return every 4–5 weeks as scheduled; delays can reduce results.
